My first chapter, which was done on an earlier PC with an earlier Word program, has the endnotes for Chapter 1 correctly formatted and displayed. My problem is that if I add a new footnote in Chapter 2 of my document that is more than one line long Word 2019 skips a line when it places the new endnote, creating double spacing between the two. I am using Word 2019 on an HP Pavilion x360 laptop with Windows 10. I hope someone here can help as I am getting very frustrated. I have previously tried posting in two different places with no result. I hope I have finally found the correct section of the forums for this.
